(I must be needing some comfort food. lol) She layered ground beef, sliced raw potatoes, and sliced raw carrots between the crusts. I can't recall if there was any onion in it or not. If so, I would say not much. Salt and pepper to taste and some water (1/4 C?). Mmmm.... I can almost taste it now. =) She made slits in the top crust and every so often dribbled a little more water into the pie. I wish now I had paid closer attention to the process. I made one almost 30 years ago and hovered over it like a newborn baby, and it turned out perfect.
